It finally happened . . . one of the kids broke a bone: our sweet and crazy little Peanut. On Monday night, Kamryn fell off of a chair onto the tile floor. As soon as it happened we picked her up and tried to calm her down. Thinking she had just bonked her head, we figured she would stop crying after a couple of minues. When that didn't happen we continued to try to soothe her with little success. After a while we had a feeling something else was going on and I soon discovered that it was her arm that was bothering her. When we tried to move it she would cry and say owwie. We decided to see how she did that night, hopeing she had just bumped it and that it would be better in the morning. No such luck, in the morning she continued to cry and wouldn't move her arm on her own, and when I tried to get her dressed, you could tell she couldn't move her arm without a lot of pain. Off to the doctor we went. The doctor determined that her eblow was dislocated and tried to put it back. She then sent us for x-rays. Once we arrived for the x-rays, Kamryn started to move her arm. I was so relieved and yet she continued to say owwie if we tried to move it too much. After 8 x-rays and hours of waiting they determined that because of the swelling, etc. they could not rule out a fracture. The doctor scheduled a follow-up appointment with an orthopeadic doctor on Thursday and told us if her arm wasn't feeling better that we would have to go to the appointment. That day she started moving her arm and was pretty happy so we were relieved and figured we could cancel the follow-up appointment. That was not the case. The next day she continued to have problems with her arm and although she was able to move it a little, she had a lot of pain getting dressed and bending it. On Thursday I took Kamryn to the doctor's office and they concluded (after looking at the same x-rays and moving her arm around) that although they couldn't see a fracture, they knew there was one there and decided to cast her arm. She will have the cast on for 3 weeks. She has been such a trooper through all of this. The first couple of days were difficult as she was trying to get used to the fact that the cast was going to be staying on her arm for awhile. Now she seems to just ignore it for the most part and is able to do pretty much everything she was doing before.

Christmas in the Snow
We had an amazing Christmas. We spent it up in Utah with my family in the snow! It was so nice to spend time with my family and to see my Grandma, aunts, uncles and cousins. We even rode the train (trax) to visit the SLC temple to see the Christmas lights. Cooper spent a lot of time outside in the snow. We had a hard time bringing him inside every day. Mike helped him dig a cave and I helped him find a hole to hide in. He loved throwing snowballs, chasing my parent's dog and sleding. Kamryn went outside on the first day and after that we didn't bother. She hated the coat, pants, hat and pretty much anything else we had to put on her. She had a hard time standing up and even walking and spent quite a bit of time on the ground. Mike and I even managed to go snowboarding a couple of times although I made him bring me back to my parent's house after the first 3 runs:) It was so cold while we were up there and of course we decided to go snowboarding on the days it was a degree or two. Burrr! Santa managed to find us up at my parent's house and the kids got every toy they could ever want. The kids truly had a wonderful time and Cooper still asks when we can go back to Grandpa and Grandma's house.

Rowdy Boys at the Temple
We went to see the temple lights in December with some friends. We had a lot of fun. The lights were beautiful and being at the temple is always such a treat but the boys were CRAZY. We had a hard time walking around because the boys were wild and the girls didn't want to stay in the strollers. So as you can imagine, there was a lot of crying and yelling and whining. I have to say, sometimes it is difficult to go places with all of the boys because all they want to to is run around and wrestle. But what am I thinking . . . they are boys and let's be honest that's all they ever want to do.
Doesn't this face scream . . . WILD and CRAZY?
I did manage to get Cooper to pause for a quick picture with Kamryn but she wan't too interested.
Farewell Tee Ball
Cooper had his final tee ball game in December. Although Kamryn and I had to miss it because she was sick, I hear Cooper had a great time. Here are some of the pictures Mike was able to capture. After the game they headed to another park for their team's party where the boys received their trophys. I just can't believe how old Cooper is.
Cooper showing off his amazing swing.
Cooper running home to hi-five his coach.
