St. Patty's Day

We don't ever do too much for St. Patrick's day and this year was no different.  The night before we told the kids that they had better wear some green so they didn't get pinched when they woke up.  That following morning we had green waffles. . . and the rest of the day was filled with pinching.  I guess the kids just couldn't resist a day when it was okay to pinch someone.

I made the kids these cute little bags.  Aren't they so cute? And they were so easy.  Maybe this is something that we will bring back next year.

Kamryn and bed

It just depends on the night which child is going to emerge from their bedroom after we have put them to bed.  Recently it has been our little night owl Kamryn.  Last month we heard quite a bit of noice and this is what I found coming down the stairs.  Did she forget she was supposed to be going to bed?!? She is pretty funny.  I couldn't help grabbing my camera to take a picture.

Another try at T-Ball

Cooper is playing T-ball again this year on a very fun team (The Cubs) with lots of his friends from Preschool.  It started off a bit rocky but Cooper is being to enjoy playing.  Just yesterday he said that he "loves t-ball". . . it's about time.  On Saturday he played 1st base for the first time and loved every minute.  This is a boy that likes to be in on the action.  He did a great job catching many of the balls and always does a wonderful job hitting the ball.

What a cute picture of Cooper and his Daddy.

Kamryn loves playing with "the girls" (Sabrina and Whitney).  She loves to mother them around and always wants to make sure they are okay.

Emerson and her harness

Right after Emerson was born, while we were still in the hospital, the pediatrician discovered that Emerson had hip dysplasia. After an ultrasound, doctor's appointment and another appointment with a specialist, they confirmed that she does have hip dysplasia and put her in a Pavlik harness. She wears this harness 22-23 hours each day in order to hold her legs in the proper position allowing her hip to form properly. She will continue to wear this harness until her next appointment on May 10th. At that time they will do an x-ray to determine if her hips have formed properly. If they have, then we can ditch the brace!!! Woo hoo! If not, then we will be stuck with the brace for a little while longer.
Although Emerson does not like it, she has started to accept the fact that she has to wear it. While it is a bit challenging holding a baby with this contraption on and even more interesting finding cute things for her to wear, we know it will all work out in the end. As you can see in the pictures she can only wear onesies and socks. Thank goodness we live in California and have relatively warm weather.
Love all of the cute leg warmers and long socks I have been able to find from Baby Legs!
Kamryn still can't get enough of Nemberson (this is what Kamryn calls her).

Cute Kiddos

Before having Emerson I knew I wanted to have some pictures taken of the kids. My friend Kayla did the most amazing job even with children that were uncooperative at times. Enjoy!

Sisterly Love

There is absolutely no question that Kamryn is in love with her new baby sister. If anything, Emerson stands a chance of being smothered with too much love. Emerson is one lucky girl, she has the most amazing brother and sister a girl could ask for. I love these sweet girls!

Grandpa and Grandma Love

Grandpa and Grandma Nielsen came to visit us just after Emerson was born. They were so excited to meet our new addition and instantly fell in love.
Kamryn didn't want to miss out on any of the love.
